Without doubt, it’s been a challenging few games recently for Cobham after a bright start to the season and we took a much changed side to Haywards Heath forced through unavailability and injures. But we’re always up for a challenge!
It was great to see a debut in the 2nd row for talented Jules Kunkler. In the backs there were first starts of the season for Billy Bates on the wing and a late injury to Owen Ashton meant James MacDonald had a 1st start of the season in the centre. At full back we warmly welcomed Tom Harty who made his 1st XV debut.
Heath have also had a challenging start to the season, but obviously hit a purple patch and came out on top with a 40-12 win.
Cobham's score's came from a well deserved penalty try through the forwards, converted by Tom Harty in the 1st half and in the 2nd half a try from Josh Brown.
Cobham are away next week to Sidcup.
