Hove 26 Cobham 35

Cobham headed to the coast with a number of changes to the team due to unavailability but were looking to take the good form they have showed so far into the 3rd match of the season.

The versatile Tristan Lee moved to th 2nd row to partner former Cobham youth Captain Pete McCallum making his senior and 1st xv debut in the 2nd row and at 18 the youngest member of the squad plus had the added pressure of running the line out. James Green made his full return to the 1st xv after 2 years out with injury. In the backs Luke Hemsley made his full debut at centre with tim green switching to the wing.
 
After 10 minutes Cobham found themselves 14-0 down. Not the start Cobham were looking for.

With Cobham behind they stepped up a gear and got a penalty converted by Tim Green. 14-3. Cobham then got themselves right back in the game with a try from fullback Oli Brown converted by Tim Green 14-10.
 
With only a minute until half time Cobham got a penalty which they kicked to the corner and from a catch and drive Pete McCallum scored his 1st Senior try. Making the score 15-14 at half time.
 
Cobham started the the 2nd half as they finished the 1st half scoring down the far side with Chris Moreton scoring in the scorner; 20-14 to Cobham.
 
Cobham at this point had most of the possession and playing good rugby. With both Brown and Moreton scoring Time Green got over the line being put over by Fullback Brown. Green Converting his own try.  27-14 Cobham
 
With Cobham having the ball for long periods of the game Hove got there hands back on on the ball and got a third try. 27-19.
 
Going into the final quarter of the game Cobham got a long range  penalty which Tim Green Kicked to take the score to 30-19.
 
Cobham made a number of changes Leo Coates coming on for Tristan Lee, Josh Brown for Doug Rodman and Charlie Mortimer for Tim Green.
 
Cobham's final score came from Luke Flower finding a gap just outside the 22 line to jink and beat a number of defenders to score in the corner to take the score to 35-19.
 
With only a few minutes left Hove were to have the final say of the match and scored out wide to get a fourth try and take the final score to 35-26 to Cobham.
 
Cobham will take plenty of positives from the match with new combinations in both the forwards and backs working well.
 
Cobham are at home next week to Trojans and will be looking to take their good away form back to the Memorial Ground, as always all support very welcome.
