Players' InsuranceRFU cover is basic; you may want more cover... Players’ Insurance Insurance is all about buying peace of mind, balanced by your perception of any risk associated with, for instance, your property, your car, or your health. Cobham Rugby Club as an affiliate of the RFU is covered by a certain level of insurance essentially covering total disability and life. Some might see this as a bare minimum and accept it as such. Others, however, may wish to have wider insurance cover. It is down to individual Club members to decide whether they wish to ensure that this type of cover is in place. It is purely a personal choice. If you want to know more about the RFU Insurance cover take a look at: http://www.rfu.com/ManagingRugby/Insurance.aspx If you feel that you’d like to discuss private medical insurance cover with an expert, the Club has been in discussions with WPA, a not-for-profit association focusing on health care. The Club is happy to recommend them. Please see: www.wpa.org.uk/madeleinecoleman Or contact Madeleine Coleman on 07885 406570 Club members should be aware that Madeleine Coleman has offered a minimum £50 payment to the Club per policy taken out. However please don’t feel that that is the motivator for this note; it’s not. We are keen to raise Club members’ awareness of the limitations of the existing RFU cover and allow you the opportunity to do something about it if you wish to. WPA is certainly one option in this respect.
