Rugby World Team of the Year 2011

The Cobham Under 18 squad have just been awarded the Rugby World Team of the Year for 2010-11.

This is some accolade when you consider that it is the first time it has been awarded to a non-senior team from this prestigious magazine.

There is also an article in this week’s Surrey Advertiser (only the Elmbridge edition) which features the boys.

For those perhaps not so au fait with the publication, Rugby World is allegedly the world’s best selling rugby magazine with a circulation of approximately 40,000 a month and the last audited readership figure of 486,000 readers per issue. The Team of the Year award in past years has gone to the likes of Waterloo RFC – it’s quite a cup and a very special award. Coverage is in the July edition.
