OMAN TOURIST BOARD SPONSORS COBHAM YOUTH RUGBY

Cobham Youth are delighted that the Oman Tourist Board is to be the Principal sponsor of Cobham Youth rugby for the next three years.

Youth rugby at Cobham has become increasingly successful, both on and off the pitch providing an opportunity for young lads to build on friendships and their rugby skills, always aiming to provide a balance to their school rugby commitments. With over 250 players (aged from 12 to 18) Youth rugby also provides the bridge between Mini and Senior rugby with many of our current senior teams having players who have played all the way through the Cobham Mini and Youth structure. Cobham Youth also continues to have unprecedented success with County, Divisional and International players.

Steve Heard, Chairman of Cobham Youth Rugby said: “Cobham Youth Rugby has become an increasingly important part of young players’ personal development through leadership within the sport and gives them success in their adolescent life.

“Not only will the Oman Tourist Board’s sponsorship of Cobham Youth Rugby raise the profile of Oman as a first class tourist destination, it will also give community sport through Cobham Rugby a boost as we develop young players for the rest of their rugby careers.”
