Burns scores twice for London & SE

Jordan Burns, Cobham U16, Surrey and Epsom College player, represented London & South East in the Divisional U16 Festival over the weekend of 22-24th January scoring twice in the opening match against Midlands which L&SE won 10-0.

Cobham boys in Imber Court Surrey Trial Jan 20th

Three of Cobham RFC's young guns will be in action at Imber Court on Wednesday evening (20th) playing under the floodlights  in a trial county game for Surrey against Middlesex.

Good luck to Harry Cairnes, Patrick Disley-May and Josh Brown and to Cobham RFC's Billy Davison who's on the coaching staff for this seasons under 20's squad.

Pop along and give them a cheer. Kick off 7pm

London Division success

Many Congratulations to Jordan Burns and Tom Hilton Stevens who have been selected for London and SE Under 16 Divisional side to play in the Festival against the other Divisions at Broadstreet on January 24th.

Congratulations also to Alex Stout who played for the London and South East Under 18 team in their win against the North ( 40-15 ) on Friday and was due to play yesterday against the South West

Alex Corbisiero in England Saxons/Geroge Lowe in U20s Squad

Ex Cobham Youth player Alec Corbisiero could be lining up with England stars Danny Cipriani, Luke Narraway and Tom Varndell in the forthcoming matches in the Churchill Cup  in Denver, Colorado after being named in the Saxons Squad.

England defend the Title with their first match against Argentina Jaguars on Saturday June 6 with the final set for June 21st. 

George Lowe has won a place in the England Under 20 squad ahead of the start of the IRB Toshiba Junior World Championship in Japan. (More on RFU site - click here)

Cobham Youth in Divisional Trials

Good luck to Alex Stout, Gareth Powlson, Richard Philip, Jack Clifford, and David Coutts who have been asked to attend the first trial for London and South East Division. For those that played in the County games but didn't get selected well done for getting that far - it must have been close.

Congratulations to Elliot Markham who has been asked to attend the Squad development weekend for the South West Division and good luck to Maddie Hughes and Kyle Ross as they chase the elusive points in their final grading game for Berkshire against Bucks.

Help the Player Exchange Program

Following the Seniors' successful start to the season we are now strengthening the 1st XV squad with 2 players on our exchange programme - but they need work whilst they are here.

One player is from New Zealand one from South Africa. They are both fit and well and keen to work in any capacity they can and have clean driving licenses and will be living locally to the club.

The first player will be arriving in early December and the second the 1st week of January.

Cobham U16s play for county

Well done to Jack Clifford (Captain), Richard Philip, Gareth Powlson, Ollie Mays, Matt Koep,Tom Bliss & Tom Flynn all of whom were in the Surrey squad that beat Kent 17-7 on Wednesday 12th Nov .

Good luck to Dave Coutts who is playing for Hampshire this coming weekend against Essex and Elliot Markham, Kyle Ross and Maddie Hughes who will be playing for Berkshire on Monday .
