Three out of the Surrey squad of 16 is another  great achievement for Cobham Youth Rugby.

24th April

Cobham Under 18s clinched the Surrey Under18 title with a fine 27-3 against Guildford last Sunday .

This was a fine team performance with some fine running rugby ..

who played for Surrey Under 15s  in their 27-12 win over Berkshire on Friday night at Aldershot.

Cobham provided both the captains with Elliot Markham captaining Berkshire and Alex Stout captaining Surrey.

2nd April

Congratulations to Elliott Markham and Ollie Saville, both Cobham U15 players who represented Wellington in the Daily Mail Cup Final and beat Millfield 22-15, Elliott scoring a try, two conversions and a penalty bringing his score to 12 on the day.

One of the Millfield players was Freddie Clark, a Guildfordians player that many U15s will remember from festivals in the past as 'Big Freddie'.

Many Cobham boys and parents were there to support.

30th March

Well done to Joe Trayfoot who played in all England's U18 Six nations games recently which ended up with a clean sweep of games for England.

Congratulations to Cobham U15s' Elliot Markham and Ollie Saville and their school Wellington College who won their semi final of the Daily Mail Under 15 cup on Saturday 23-3 versus Oundle school.

The  reward for their efforts is to play at Twickenham in the final on Wednesday April 2nd, kick off 12.15 against Millfield.

Congratulations to George Lowe and Joe Trayfoot who have signed for the Harlequins Academy. George will be full time at the Academy from next week. Joe still in the lower sixth will start the year after.

Further congratulations to Joe Trayfoot who has been selected for the England Under 18 squad for the forthcoming international season. England play Wales at Sixways on March 2nd, and then take part in the Six Nations tournament in Cork Ireland between 22nd March and April 1st including games against Italy, France and Scotland Under 18s

Congratulations to Cobham RFC old-boy Simon Ackroyd who represented Oxford in last week's Varsity Match at Twickenham.

Simon, playing at Flanker, listed Cobham as his Club in the match programme having started out in the Mini Section a few years ago.

But unfortunately for Simon, Cambridge got the better of Oxford in a tight game winning 22-16 on the day.

Cobham Players Represent Great Britan Police v Australia Police.

Tim Green & Will Holland, two of Cobham's new first team squad members, played for the Great Britan Police v The Australia Police on Tuesday Night, 2nd October.

Great Britan Police defeated their Australian counterparts 31-19 in an entertaining Police International at the Metropolitan Police ground at Imber Court.

Great Britan led 31-0 at one stage before two yellow cards were issued which allowed Australia to rally. This was the first meeting between the sides since 1999 when British Police won on tour in Australia.

Help find jobs for the Cobham Kiwis

Over the years we have enjoyed great links with the Grammar Carlton Rugby Club in New Zealand and we're delighted to welcome two new players; Nick Jones and Helge Maeata’anoa on the Cobham:Grammar Carlton Exchange program.

They'll be in the UK in about a month's time and we've already secured accommodation for both but we now need to find jobs for them too.

Both Helge (22) and Nick (22) are willing and able to do most jobs. Helge has experience in the hotel and building trades and Nick has experience in Admin & IT.
