Dear All

Well, that's it for another season!

The children had a great last Sunday Funday and really enjoyed themselves - especially with the tug of war and of course the customary custard pie throwing. The tunnel was great with everyone cheering enthusiastically as the children went through one by one to collect their named rugby ball (thanks to David Wilkins for donating the balls, and to the coaches who pumped them up and had to name them all!)

We need to really thank our fantastic coaches who have given up their Sundays (and much more besides) week in and week out to train and coach our children every week and referree festivals . Thank you so much John, Ray, Paul, Paul and David. Without you guys, we couldn't do it.

Last, but by no means least, I would like to say an enormously big thank you to you all for the lovely flowers and present you gave me on Sunday with special thanks to Jenny and Sharmaine who I believe did some clandestine emailing! The flowers are simply stunning and still going stong and the silver star has already been much admired on my charm bracelet.

Fundraising

Thanks to all of your donations, we also managed to give another £338 to the clubhouse fundraising pot so have now met our £3000 target that all age groups were set!!

Next Season

As you know, I am now handing over my manager duties to Claire Richmond-Smith and Caroline Koep who I know will do a fantastic job of keeping all us U8s in check next season. Please help them by remembering to register your children when you arrive for training and to respond to emails confirming availability for fixtures and festivals as soon as possible.

As soon as I have details for next season's registration process, I'll let you know.

The coaching team needs to expand next season - If you haven't already let John know but are interested in helping the coaching from September, please contact him.

Summer Ball

Remember, if you are coming to the ball - and even if you're not, it would really help us if you could let us have anything that we could put on our tombola - or any higher value items or "money can't easily buy" experiences for the auction. All profits go towards the clubhouse fund.

Sharmaine, Susie or I would happily collect anything you could offer us at your convenience.
