Nando’s 10’s Youth Tournament ~ Harlequins Guest Players

Harlequins RFC are sending two of their professional academy players to attend and present the trophies at this year’s Nando’s 10’s Youth Tournament at Cobham RFC.

George Lowe and Seb Stegmann have both just played for England U.20’s in the Six Nations Tournament, each scoring tries along the way.

George Lowe

George Lowe began his rugby career here at Cobham RFC where he joined at U.5 and remained until the end of the U.18 season. He played in the inaugural Nando’s 10’s Youth Tournament in 2006. George also represented Surrey and the Harlequins Academy where he played in the A League whilst still a schoolboy.

Educated at Danes Hill School and Epsom College, George Lowe was signed by Harlequins Academy Professionals last summer. This season he has been representing Esher, the National Division 1 side, where his stunning performance against Leeds brought him to the attention of the England selectors and saw him catapulted into the starting line up against Ireland in the Six Nations Tournament where he scored a try on his debut and followed up with a try in each of his subsequent matches.

Seb Stegman

Seb Stegmann has an impressive record. He joined Old Reedonians as a mini, played for Cranleigh School and Harlequins Academy and made his first England appearance in 2005 at U.16. Later that year, he played for an England U.18 academy side.

Seb made his first professional appearance for Harlequins in 2007. He plays for Harlequins in the Premiership as well as representing Esher in National League 1 and has a prodigious try scoring record.

With the U.20 World Cup Tournament taking place in Japan this summer, both of these young players must be in contention for a place in the squad. We wish them both the very best of luck.
