Cobham RFC Nando’s 10’s Youth Tournament

I am delighted to welcome you to our fourth Nando’s 10’s Youth Rugby Tournament taking place at Cobham RFC on Sunday 19^th April 2009.

Please ensure you convey our ‘No Dogs’ policy to your travelling supporters. Much as we love them, this is a serious health and safety issue.

Format:

• Four teams competing in each of four different age groups (U.13, U.14, U.15 and U.16).
• Each team will compete in a round robin stage followed by a cup final and a plate final so each team will play four games on the day.  
• Round robin games will be 10 minutes per half with a 2 minute interval at half time. 
• Finals will be 12 minutes per half with a 3 minute interval at half time.
• Squad size restricted to 17 players per team.
• All players must be registered prior to the competition starting (please use the registration form attached).
• Coaches must be in a position to prove the ages of their players if requested.
• The rules of the competition are attached.

Timing:

• The playing schedule will be provided on the club web site closer to the day.
• Please arrive in good time:
• Registration 9:45am. Click here for the Registration Form
• Briefing session for coaches at 9:45am.
• Stud inspection at 10:15am.
• Matches start at 10.30am.

Parking:

• Parking will be at Munroe House which is right next to the club and it will be clearly sign-posted.  
• £5 per car parking fee which will include a programme and a voucher for a FREE Nando’s meal.
• No parking spaces will be available at the club itself.
• Four free parking vouchers will be provided for coaches.

First Aid:

• Although we will be providing our club physios on site please ensure you have suitably trained first aiders in your party.

Catering:

• Nando’s will be on site supplying fantastic grilled food from 10.30am.
• Breakfast catering will available for early arrivals.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participating teams will receive a Nando’s lunch voucher for each player to use on the day and a commemorative Nando’s tee shirt.

We plan to have a celebrity guest to present the awards and his or her identity will be revealed nearer the date.

As you will all be aware there are sometimes circumstances beyond our control (the weather and/or pitch conditions for example) which may lead to the adjustment of the format of the competition. If this becomes necessary we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible.

The tournament will be a great way to end the season so try to bring along as many supporters as possible to enjoy the event and our hospitality.
