Use of Chelsea's Pitches

Guidelines for Pitch Users and Guests at the Chelsea Football Club Training Facility

The use of training facilities at Chelsea Football Club is vital to Cobham Rugby. Therefore it is essential that the rules are followed, especially in ensuring that no-one walks on the football pitches. Chelsea are extremely concerned about cross contamination causing disease to the grass.

Parking ~ is a huge issue so car sharing is encouraged and visitors must park where told. The football academy takes priority and on a particularly congested day you may even be asked to park at Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon Station . There is a walkway through to the grounds.

Only named kit carriers will be allowed through the security point to drop off the kit if it is particularly busy but you will probably be asked to park in the lower car park. Please notify Suzanne of the names of your kit carriers each Wednesday as security need to be informed. Please don't "try it on" with the security guys - you may get away with it but the club won't...

No litter to be left, no dogs and no photography (of anything ~ buildings, cars, players etc).

Arrival time 12 noon. Strict finish time of 2pm.

The full address in case you need to call an ambulance is:

Toilets - we may no longer use the old Academy building as in previous years. Instead, we have been asked to use the facilities in the old St. George’s building.

Directions to the loos - from the rugby pitch, walk back towards the car park. Just before the car park, turn right, walking between football pitch 22 (which will be on your left) and pitch 23. The toilet block is at the far end of pitch 22.

There is a catering van on site on Sunday mornings. It is parked in the Academy car park, to the left just before you go down the narrow lane to the academy. Normally they start packing up around 1pm, although if people are still milling about I'm sure they will stay open a bit longer if the custom is there.

If there are any questions or problems please phone Suzanne Whealing on 07802 701989 or email suzanne.whealing@btconnect.com
